CHE University Ranking: KLU top university in Northern Germany
In terms of master’s degree programs for Business Administration, Kühne Logistics University (KLU) is among the top German schools. In the new ranking from the Centre for Higher Education (CHE), KLU was the only university in Northern Germany to consistently receive 5 out of 5 stars in the main categories “General Study Conditions,” “Curriculum,” “Support during studies” and “Digital Teaching Components.” In the 39 areas surveyed, students exclusively gave KLU top marks.
“Our students stand out for their fundamental understanding of leadership, management, and supply chains. They possess the essential skills and mindset required to effectively address both present and future challenges. At KLU, we impart this knowledge in an international setting, through a hands-on approach and in English, while always upholding the highest academic standards,” states KLU President Prof. Dr. Andreas Kaplan. “The consistently outstanding evaluations from our students in the CHE Ranking attest to their high regard for our academic programs, which are among the best in Germany.”
Excellent preparation for today’s challenges
“The master’s degree program at KLU was without a doubt the right choice,” says Student Body Speaker Jonas Rathje, who is studying Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management. “The limited number of students per course helps you learn quickly and to intensively address challenging, topical content. In addition, our professors possess not just academic expertise, but also valuable practical experience. All in all, it’s a solid package.”
Since the last CHE Ranking (2020), both of KLU’s “Master of Science” programs have been reaccredited with the FIBAA Premium Seal – a distinction reserved for the top ten percent of all accredited programs. The curricula of both the Master in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Master in International Management are continually updated. For example, to offer students optimal preparation for the latest challenges, they can choose from among the focus areas “Digital Transformation” or “Transition to a Sustainable Economy.” A further innovation: thanks to the Independent Studies program, outstanding students can now choose their own focus areas outside the established curriculum, in preparation for e.g. doctoral studies or starting a company.
Top marks for the bachelor’s degree program, too
In the CHE Ranking for bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, published this May, KLU was also among the top German universities. Awarding it an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars, students confirmed the excellent study conditions offered at KLU.
The latest CHE Ranking is based on a survey of master’s students and further data on teaching and research at the respective universities. This year, the CHE ranked master’s degree programs in Management, Economics, Business Informatics, Business Administration & Engineering, and Business Sciences.
