Eïda Ouchtar is a research analyst in the Center for Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development, a joint research center by the Kühne Logistics University and HELP Logistics. Eïda holds an engineering Master degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, where she specialized in mathematics and computer sciences. She also graduated in 2018 with a research Master degree in operations research from the Centre National des Arts et Métiers. She has a strong background in applying mathematical models and optimization techniques to solve complex problems in various fields, including supply chain management and airline network optimization.
During her 3 years at the World Food Programme, Eïda played a significant role in developing an operational supply chain planning solution using data analytics, resulting in a roll-out in 9 countries, amongst which Nigeria, Afghanistan, Sudan, Ukraine and Venezuela. She also structured the planning of the Specialized Nutritious Food's supply chain, contributing to the organization's efforts to ensure food security for vulnerable populations. Previously, she worked as an operations research engineer at Airbus, where she applied operations research models to airlines' network problems, and at Air France, where she implemented a multi-criteria optimization technique to improve the scheduling of aircrafts' activities. As a research intern at the Centre National de Recherches Météorologiques, Eïda studied the predictability of atmospheric convection, resulting in a publication in the Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society.
Eïda now wants to leverage her research-oriented mindset and experience in applying scientific models to solve complex problems and make a positive impact on humanitarian supply chains.
