You did it! You're a student of KLU and Welcome Week and your first day on campus are approaching. But wait – how does the registration at KLU work? How do you apply for a visa as an international student? What is a residence permit – and how to get one in Germany? And where can you find a room or a nice appartment?
Don’t worry – our student services team is there for you.
Throughout your time as a KLU student we're here to assist you – (almost) no matter the issue. Check in at our Student Info Point or get in touch with our team. We want you to get the most from your experience at KLU and not to worry about that strange mail from your landlord or other issues.
We will help you solve the problem, share information to enable you to helping yourself, or guide you to more specialist services.
- We support you in obtaining a study visa/residence permit,
- help you with finding (temporary) accommodation,
- advise you about important documents/documentation,
- advise you on health insurance matters,
- provide you with first-hand information about living and studying in Hamburg/Germany.
- We organize the annual welcome week for first-year and exchange students
- enroll you at KLU,
- issue tickets for public transportation in Hamburg,
- offer daily support,
- organize extracurricular activities for all students, such as regular meetings, a Christmas party, a Welcome Back party, and a Fun Day.
