You did it! You're a student of KLU and Welcome Week and your first day on campus are approaching. But wait – how does the enrollment at KLU work? How do you apply for a visa as an international student? What is a residence permit – and how to get one in Germany? And where can you find a room or a nice apartment?
Don’t worry – our Student Services team is there for you.
Throughout your time as a KLU student, we're here to assist you with all topics related to studying & living in Germany. Check in at our Student Info Point or get in touch with our team. We want you to get the most from your experience at KLU and will support and advice you.
- We support you in obtaining a study visa/residence permit,
- advise you on how to find (temporary) accommodation,
- guide you on important documents/documentation,
- support you with health insurance matters,
- provide you with first-hand information about living and studying in Hamburg/Germany.
- We organize the buddy program, buddy activities, and buddy trip for new students,
- organize the annual Welcome Week for first-year bachelor's, master's, and exchange students,
- enroll you at KLU,
- organize extracurricular activities for all students, such as fun days, peer-to-peer events, a Christmas party, and a Welcome Back party,
- sign you up for the digital semester ticket,
- offer daily support.
