Master in International Management (MSc)

Master in International Management (MSc)

Shaping the future of our world – sustainably and responsibly!

Our MSc in International Management isn’t just a degree – it’s your gateway to a successful global career. Imagine gaining not only the management and leadership skills that top multinational companies demand, but also the ability to think entrepreneurially and act sustainably in today’s ever-changing world. Our courses cover the key areas of business administration, with a special focus on two crucial topics: sustainability and digitalization. You’ll be equipped to navigate the complexities of a global business environment and significantly boost your career prospects.

At KLU, there is no “standard program.” We look at each student individually and offer you state-of-the-art teaching methods and formats. You’ll learn through real-world case studies, hands-on projects, business simulations, and valuable internships. Benefit from KLU’s excellent business relations to network with industry professionals during your studies. Our teaching methods ensure that you’re not just learning theory but also practical skills that are directly relevant to today’s business challenges. We are dedicated to helping you grow both professionally and personally, with a strong emphasis on developing your leadership abilities.

All classes are taught entirely in English on our campus, located in the heart of Hamburg’s vibrant HafenCity district.

Leading with an Operations Mindset

Building on our heritage in logistics, all our programs foster the unique KLU Operations Mindset. This mindset embodies several core principles that will make you ready to tackle any challenge down the road. You’ll be combining academic excellence with a hands-on approach. You will learn to use a systematic, data-driven mindset and to manage details while maintaining a strategic view. You will be ready to be a sustainable and responsible leader, no matter the sector or function.

Study in Germany

Studying in Germany means you’ll benefit from an education system that is respected by employers around the globe. You’ll experience life in one of the safest countries for students, with a strong economy and a stable job market. After graduating, you’ll have the legal right to work in Germany for a certain time to help you find the perfect job – a huge advantage for building your future. And let’s not forget: you’ll be living in the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Hamburg. Frequently ranked as one of the world’s best cities to live in, Hamburg offers a fantastic work-life balance, cultural diversity, and a welcoming international community. It’s the perfect place to launch your global career.

To apply, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university or college, along with proof of English proficiency.

While we prefer degrees in business or economics, we also welcome applicants from other analytical fields like industrial engineering, business informatics, or mathematics — provided your degree includes at least four business-related courses. If you’re missing some business courses, there are various ways to make up for them.

Your bachelor’s degree should include 180 ECTS points for the standard track, or 210 ECTS points for the fast track and part-time track. Applicants for the fast and part-time tracks must have completed at least one academic term abroad or an internship abroad as part of their degree.

If you haven’t received your degree certificate yet, you can apply using your transcript of records.
