Carolin Winter has been working at Kühne Logistics University as a Research Analyst for the Center of Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development (CHORD) since November 2023. Prior to her research work at the university, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Cologne and her Master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich, both with distinction.
With her interest focus on behavior and decision-making, Carolin seeks to combine socio-psychological and operational research perspectives in the humanitarian context. On this basis, she strives to understand and scrutinize intra-organizational and inter-organizational mechanisms and dynamics in the humanitarian sector. In doing so, Carolin’s research aims to highlight the impact and synergies of international and local humanitarian actors working together as equals. She is therefore also involved in research projects on impact measurement, the quantification and visualization of investments and interventions in humanitarian supply chains.
During her studies, Carolin worked in the media industry and was practically involved in project management with the coordination of different actors as well as in advocacy through her work in public relations.
