Integration and dependencies of freight logistics networks

Zoom Research Seminar / 5th Floor EE Lecture 2

Past event — 12 April 2023

Logistics and supply chain networks have become more interconnected and complicated. Different sectors are working together to guarantee the whole network's function. In my first project, I would do an extensive literature review of how such dependencies and interdependencies are modeled in logistics and supply chain areas. In my second study,  I will investigate how two freight logistics service providers can increase their spatial coverage while minimizing distribution costs. In my third study, I model and analyze the dependency between freight logistics and power networks considering resiliency.

Mohammad has been a PhD candidate at KLU since 2020. Before joining KLU, he has worked with different universities and research centers in Iran and Canada. He has also published some papers on network design and optimization. Mohammad graduated in Industrial Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
