Everything is changing. What’s keeping us on the move today and tomorrow in mobility and providing goods in our urban areas? Find out the answers at the new public information and debate series at KLU. Begins Thursday, November 28th, 4:30pm.

The series will begin with an opening speech by Economics and Transport Senator Michael Westhagemann, followed by Professor Dr. Barbara Lenz as the keynote speaker. Dr. Lenz is a leading German mobility research expert and heads up the Institute of Transport Research at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin.

Future Mobility

Kühne Logistics University and the German Transport Journal (DVZ) are presenting this and five other events in preparation for the upcoming World Congress for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) to be held in Hamburg in Fall 2021. The city will showcase solutions for the future of urban mobility from around the world under the motto “Experience Future Mobility Now”.

living and working in urban areas

KLU is blazing a new trail with the Future Lab Mobility. “This lecture series is in no way intended solely for industry professionals,” encourages Dr. Rupert Seuthe, KLU event coordinator. “We are opening our doors here at KLU to the citizens of Hamburg and invite them to join us in a general discussion led by experts from a broad spectrum of relevant disciplines. One of the central pressing questions is about living and working together in urban areas. This is something that has an effect on each and every one of us.”

Following the lecture and expert panel discussion there will be an opportunity to network at a get together held in the KLU foyer and to follow the speakers’ talks on the DVZ’s red sofa.
