Susanne Gillig started her journey as a PhD candidate and research assistant at KLU in February 2022 under the primary supervision of Prof. Dr. André Ludwig. Her main area of research are intermodal transport networks, specifically looking into the potential of combined passenger and freight transports. With her research Susanne contributes to the "CargoSurfer" project, whose main goal is to build an IT-platform by means of machine learning.
Sudanne studied Industrial Engineering (B.Eng.) with a major in logistics management at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. In the course of her bachelor thesis at BMW, she developed an implementation concept for autonomous part replenishment. During her master's course in International Business and Project Management (M.Sc.) at the London South Bank University, Susanne carried out an independent research project. Before joining KLU, she gained work experience in London.
