Sandra Rudeloff joined Kühne Logistics University in September 2020 as a PhD Candidate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hanno Friedrich and Prof. Dr. Sandra Transchel. Her research will be mainly conducted within the framework of the project "FoodDecide" funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project aims at developing efficient decision support software for Montenegrin food business operators and governmental agencies supporting food safety and disease outbreak investigations. Sandra will focus on the improvement of existing and development of new algorithms to identify the contaminated food item.
In 2018, she obtained her BSc in Information Systems from NORDAKADEMIE while being employed at PPI AG. Additionally, she spent a semester abroad at Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar in Cartagena, Colombia. This degree gives her the required IT background knowledge for her research.
Before becoming a PhD student, Sandra received her MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from KLU. Her thesis focused on the area of traceback of foodborne disease outbreaks within the United States that are associated with imported food products. Within this period, she spent a semester abroad at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand.
