Tom Stroink

PhD Candidate

Tom Stroink began his PhD studies at Kühne Logistics University in 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kai Hoberg. His research focuses on the strategic reconfiguration of operational capabilities under uncertainty and is conducted in cooperation with Cremer Holding GmbH as an industry partner.
Before starting his doctoral studies, Tom completed his Master of Science in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Kühne Logistics University, with a concentration in Digital Management. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Industry 4.0.
Alongside his academic achievements, Tom brings a strong foundation of applied industry knowledge. He has gained extensive experience in strategy, operations, and consulting through various roles at start-ups, mid-size companies DAX-listed corporations, and leading strategy consultancies. His career is shaped by a strategic mindset with a strong operational orientation, allowing him to bridge high-level business thinking with practical implementation.
