Fynn Oldenburg started his PhD program at Kühne Logistics University in September 2023 under the shared supervision of Prof. Dr. Kai Hoberg and Prof. Dr. Henrik Leopold. His research focuses on the applicability of process mining and digital twin technologies in supply chain management. In doing so, he studies specific use cases where companies can benefit from their collected process data to solve common inefficiencies in their supply chain operations.
Fynn received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from KLU with specialization in supply chain management. His thesis under supervision of Prof. Dr. Kai Hoberg studied methods of interpretable artificial intelligence in the context of supply chain planning and forecasting. He then continued his academics with a Master of Science in Business Analytics at Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, where he developed a profound understanding of data science methods. For his master thesis, he developed interpretable deep learning models to predict cost-per-click in networks of online advertisers. Furthermore, Fynn gained practical experience during work placements in technical consulting at Deloitte, a logistics start-up and research associate positions at NOVA SBE and KLU.
