CHE University Ranking 2026/27: KLU Confirms Top Position for Business Administration in Germany

The CHE University Ranking 2026/27 reaffirms Kühne Logistics University (KLU) as one of the best business schools in Germany: Bachelor students awarded an outstanding overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, placing KLU in the absolute top group nationwide. CHE experts also confirmed the students’ assessment of KLU in the categories “international orientation,” “support at the start of studies,” and “contact with professional practice.” The evaluated program is the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the KLU Hamburg campus.

Students rated KLU particularly positively in the key categories of program organization, support from lecturers, and infrastructure. Here, KLU consistently received ratings between 4.8 and 4.9 stars. With these results, KLU continues its success story in the most prestigious university ranking in the German-speaking world.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Kaplan, President of KLU: “Prospective students want to know what to expect from a university and their studies. KLU combines an international atmosphere, moderate-sized study groups, and excellent support with an outstanding academic reputation – as the survey results clearly demonstrate. Added to this is a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management across all disciplines – a must-have for leaders in a globalized world, as current events in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz show.”

Research Excellence and Practical Orientation

Students awarded KLU’s career and practical orientation offerings 4.7 stars – significantly above the German university average of 3.8. At the same time, KLU ranks among the top group in terms of the number of academic publications per professor.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Himme, Dean of Programs: “The ranking shows what students can expect from us: academic excellence combined with strong connections to the business world. This combination is valuable whether students pursue a master’s degree after their bachelor’s degree or enter the job market directly. We place great emphasis on employability – ensured by internationally leading researchers who bring their current and relevant insights and corporate connections directly into the classroom.”

In the current academic year, a career coaching course firmly integrated into the curriculum was further expanded. In addition, the program includes an integrated internship, career fairs, company visits, and guest lectures from industry practitioners. KLU maintains close ties with leading companies in all sectors with a special emphasis on logistics and consulting.

Oleksandra Shvets, Student Representative: “There are two things I especially value: the great community in which we learn together, and the close connection to the real business world through case studies and excursions. At the same time, students are encouraged to take initiative themselves, for example by founding new student clubs. This creates a startup-like environment directly on campus.”

Excellent Education for the Leaders of Tomorrow

The latest result adds to a series of further distinctions. The bachelor’s program holds the FIBAA Premium Seal, awarded to only ten percent of FIBAA-accredited programs. In addition, KLU is AACSB accredited and therefore belongs to the top 5 percent of business schools worldwide.

In addition to the bachelor’s degree, KLU also offers English-language master’s, MBA, and doctoral programs in the fields of Business and Management, Business Analytics & Data Science, as well as Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Alongside its main campus in Hamburg, the university is expanding with the Saigon campus in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) as well as planned additional locations in Africa and South America.
