Number One in Hamburg, Number Six in Europe: KLU in EDUopinions' Student Reviews Guide 2026 – “Hidden Gems”

Kühne Logistics University ranks among the highest-rated universities in the EDUopinions Student Reviews Guide 2026 in the “Hidden Gems” category. Based on student reviews from 2025, KLU is the highest-rated university in Hamburg, and among Europe's best.

The Top 10 Hidden Gem Student Cities in Europe guide highlights European study destinations beyond the major capitals that receive particularly positive student feedback. In addition to the city comparison, EDUopinions also evaluates universities at city level. In this assessment, KLU received 4.85 out of 5 stars, ranking first in Hamburg and sixth in Europe in the “Hidden Gems” category.

Position in the International Student Ranking

Alongside the overall ranking, EDUopinions introduced a dedicated International Student Ranking in 2026. The methodology mirrors the overall ranking but is based exclusively on reviews from international students.

In this European comparison, KLU ranks sixth among the Top 10 Universities in Europe, with an overall rating of 4.73 out of 5 stars.

Hamburg as a hidden gem among Europe’s student cities

Beyond KLU, Hamburg itself stands out as a study destination outside Europe’s capital cities. With 4.5 out of 5 stars, Hamburg is listed among the Top 10 Hidden Gem Student Cities in Europe, alongside Lyon (France), Lausanne (Switzerland), and Leeds (United Kingdom).

Further rankings and accreditations

KLU is regularly recognized in national and international evaluations. These include top placements in the CHE University Ranking as well as AACSB accreditation, which is held by only around five percent of business schools worldwide. Together, these distinctions reflect KLU’s academic quality, international outlook, and rigorous study environment.
