Dr. Jonas Stumpf obtained his Masters in Logistics and International Management from the University of Mannheim (Germany) and his PhD from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria). Before joining the Kühne Foundation and HELP Logistics in 2011, he worked at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) where he conducted supply chain analyses and provided training courses at headquarters and various field offices in the Central and Eastern Africa region. From 2013 to 2016, he began HELP Logistics’ operations in Asia where he established a broad network of humanitarian actors and opened HELP’s first office abroad. In his current role as HELP’s Director Global Programs, he focuses on the design, development and coordination of HELP’s service portfolio to make humanitarian supply chains more effective, efficient and sustainable. In 2021, he co-founded the research center for humanitarian logistics and regional development (CHORD) at the Kühne Logistics University (Hamburg, Germany) and acts today as the center’s operations manager.
