Dr. Jonas Stumpf

Regional Director Europe, HELP Logistics

Dr. Jonas Stumpf is a distinguished expert in supply chain management, combining academic excellence with practical field experience. Holding a master's degree in Logistics and International Management from the University of Mannheim and a PhD from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, he brings a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics to HELP Logistics. His career in humanitarian supply chains began at the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), where he played a pivotal role in data analysis and staff training.

Between 2013 and 2016, Dr. Stumpf spearheaded HELP Logistics' expansion into Asia, establishing crucial networks and launching its first international office. As the current Regional Director for Europe, he drives strategic partnerships and oversees impactful projects with international humanitarian organizations, as well as private and institutional donors.

Dr Stumpf's commitment to the field also led him to co-found the Center for Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development (CHORD) at Kühne Logistics University in 2021, where he continues to serve on the steering committee, driving research and innovation in the humanitarian and development sector. His research has been honored with the “HUMLOG Institute’s Award 2023”, the “Stephan Koren Prize 2023” and the "Emerald Literati Award 2024".
