In this Dock & Talk session, Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker will share his perspective on leadership in uncertain times: how to make decisions when not everything can be planned in advance, how to stay responsible under pressure, and why values matter in business. For KLU students, his experience offers a close look at many of the sectors that shape Hamburg’s economy — including ports, aviation, finance, consulting, and start-ups.

Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker has spent more than 30 years working at the intersection of strategy, business, academia, and public life. He is a Senior Fellow at Roland Berger, where he previously served as CEO and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and is now Chairman of the Board of Trustees at KLU. He also holds or has held roles with institutions and companies such as HHLA, HASPA, Hamburg Airport, HENSOLDT, M.M. Warburg & Co., HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and the ZEIT-Stiftung.
