Despite Hamburg greeting the group with its rainy season, the students remained highly motivated and engaged. They explored the city, enjoyed cultural excursions, and some even made the trip to Berlin during their free time.
Educational trips were a key highlight, such as:
- Gut Haidehof – where students witnessed the impact of ecological farming and sustainable agriculture practices.
- Klimahaus Bremerhaven – a journey through global climate zones, demonstrating the urgency of environmental awareness and protection.
In the classroom, students learned directly from industry professionals and leading researchers, covering topics like business model transformation, sustainability reporting, and sustainable logistics management.
Feedback from the Students
"It´s been a really great journey for us to understand more about sustainability practices here in Hamburg and in Germany.” -Minh Nguyên Vũ, Student from Vietnam.
"All the topics that we learned are up to date and I also really enjoyed meeting people from all around the world”-Silvana Ramírez Romero, Student from Mexico.
"Main reason why I´ve chosen the Program at KLU was not only to learn more about the sustainability, but also to bridge the gap between my knowledge in agricultural production and sustainable business practices, bringing the two together.“-Kaiden Jacobs, Student from South Africa.
A lasting impression
On Friday, July 18th, students gathered for the final day of the program-an emotional farewell filled with smiles, laughter, and even tears. During the certificate ceremony, participants received official recognition for their successful completion of the program.
