Alumni Career Talks 2025: connecting and inspiring

This November, like every year, KLU’s Alumni Career Talks brought together KLU alumni and current students, with the aim to exchange experiences and create connections and opportunities for both collectives.

This year’s edition was even more special, as it coincided with the celebration of KLU’s 15th anniversary, turning the event into both a networking platform and a reflection of what KLU has achieved over the years. In total, 28 alumni joined the event to offer advice, inspiration, and first-hand insights.

Special anniversary edition with impact

The Alumni Career Talks began with a networking lunch for alumni and faculty, perfect opportunity to reconnect, exchange updates on current work challenges and achievements, and look ahead to future goals.

Afterwards came the highlight of the evening: Career Speed Dating with Alumni. Around 250 students took part on it, seeking advice on academic development, career planning and life after graduation. Small group sessions ensured that each student had the chance to speak directly with alumni from different industries and backgrounds. Through these conversations, students gained a realistic understanding of career pathways, learned what it takes to enter the industry, and heard what matters most for long-term development.

One of the students, Can Roehlsberger, shared his favorite advice from the event: “Break down complicated problems into simple problems, and of course, sleep well.” – a practical view, directly connected to KLU’s Operations Mindset.

Closing with real future perspectives

The event concluded with a relaxed Mix & Mingle session, giving students additional time to ask follow-up questions and continue discussions in a more informal setting.

A big thank you to our alumni for making the evening impactful, to our professors for guiding generations of students, to the team who organized the event, and to all students who eagerly seek to shape their futures.
