Your Way to Study in Germany: KLU’s 2024 Preparation Program Graduates Reflect on Their Journey

The KLU Studienkolleg (Preparation Program) for the class of 2024 has successfully concluded, with five graduates now ready to embark on their academic journeys. Known for its blend of top-tier education and exceptional student support, this program equips participants with the qualifications needed for admission to KLU for international students without a German Abitur or equivalent diploma.

Throughout the year, students immersed themselves in the dynamic environment of KLU’s modern campus in Hamburg’s HafenCity quarter, preparing academically and personally for future success. All of them will continue their academic journey as Bachelor students at KLU.

Alp Kutlu from Türkiye: “It was a very nice experience and it was overall not too harsh as an academic program. The teachers were really helpful with everything. The classes were not huge in size, so we really had direct contact with them. I think it's a very nice gateway to direct you into the German system.

Anastasiia Antonova from Ukraine found the program crucial for building a solid foundation: “If students want to become global leaders, business managers or just to study in Germany, this preparation program is very exciting. I had no background in math and economics, and now after a full year of these classes, I think it will be much easier for me to start my bachelor's.”

Diana Yanovska, also from Ukraine, described the program as “amazing” and highlighted its role as “a perfect opportunity to get to know the university, the city, and just living alone after moving from your parents' house. I genuinely enjoyed the year.”

Nikita Horokh from Ukraine emphasized the supportive environment: “I really liked the preparation program because it prepared me for the upcoming year in Bachelor. The atmosphere, staff, and the opportunities KLU gives to us students, and especially to people who cannot finance themselves, it's awesome.”

Finally, Sidhant Sood from India appreciated the welcoming atmosphere: “I'd say the preparation program was definitely a fun and exciting experience. It was my first year in Germany, so it was definitely a new experience, but it was fun.”

As the KLU Preparation Program (Studienkolleg) for the class of 2024 concludes, these graduates are equipped with the skills, confidence, and experiences to excel in their future studies, reflecting KLU’s commitment to academic excellence and personal growth.
