UniVerse Club: Students, Knowledge and Ideas Hub

Creating connections beyond one campus is no easy task, but two KLU students took on the challenge and turned this idea into a meaningful project. Antonia Hirschmann, a 2025 graduate of KLU’s BSc in Business Administration, and Jette Bacher, a current BSc in Business Administration student, founded UniVerse together. During their time at KLU, they wanted to go beyond the boundaries of a single university, and they did it designing a club that brings KLU students together with other students, fields, and ideas. Their vision of creating a shared space has since become a growing community, and today they share what lies at the heart of it.

A group of people place their hands together in the center of a circle, symbolizing teamwork, unity, collaboration, and diversity.

What is the meaning behind the name UniVerse?

Antonia: The name reflects our vision: “Uni” stands for universities, while “Verse” represents an interconnected space full of ideas, perspectives, and opportunities. Every event adds a new dimension to this community. We want UniVerse to be a place where ambitious students, experts, and changemakers genuinely connect and inspire one another.

How do you bring students from different universities together, and what makes these exchanges valuable?

Jette: We collaborate with student clubs, business societies, and universities to create joint events where students actively work and exchange ideas together. The value lies in meeting people who think differently, bring new strengths, and open doors to networks and opportunities beyond one’s own university.

What types of events do you host, and what can students expect from them?

Antonia: Our events range from business case competitions and expert talks to workshops and networking evenings. We focus on interactive experiences that offer practical insights, honest conversations, and meaningful connections rather than passive lectures.

What have been some memorable highlights so far?

Jette: One highlight was our McKinsey workshop on “The Art of Networking”, which gave students practical tools for building genuine professional relationships. Another memorable moment was our black-and-white summer event, which brought the UniVerse identity to life and strengthened our sense of community within our team. We also hosted an entrepreneurship event with an experienced founder from Hamburg, who shared valuable and honest insights from building several companies.

How would you like UniVerse to grow, and what impact do you hope it will have?

Antonia: We want UniVerse to become a lasting cross-university network with strong partnerships, recurring events, and closer connections to other students, companies, and alumni. Ultimately, we hope participants leave our events with more than knowledge: with new perspectives, new confidence, and new relationships that continue beyond university.
