KLU Vietnam Campus: First cooperation signed with HCMC University of Technology
Successful new milestone on the road to a KLU campus in Vietnam: KLU has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Vietnam. HCMUT is thereby the first official Vietnamese partner for the planned new presence of KLU in Southeast Asia.
Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, Rector HCMUT and KLU president Andreas Kaplan signed the MOU. One of the main objectives of the cooperation is to develop joint degree programs in logistics and supply chain management, which will be taught at KLU's future presence in Saigon. “This is an exciting next step for Kühne Logistics University”, says President Andreas Kaplan, “ HCMUT and KLU share the goal of strengthening capacity building in logistics and supply chain management in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, where there is high demand in both local and regional job markets. We are very pleased to have HCMUT, a highly reputed institution within the Vietnamese higher education sector, as a strong and reliable partner.
International Cooperation
Established in 1957, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) is a public university in Vietnam, part of the Vietnam National University (VNU), Ho Chi Minh City. With more than 25,000 students, HCMUT is recognized as the leading center for education, scientific research, and technology transfer in Vietnam. It is the first and only Vietnamese university to have obtained accreditations from both AUN-QA (ASEAN) and HCERES (Europe) at the same time.
KLU Vietnam Campus
The MOU is part of KLU’s plan to open a new campus in Vietnam’s vibrant business and logistics hub Ho Chi Minh City. Founded in 2010, KLU’s vision is to provide the world’s best leadership and management education, firmly rooted in an operations mindset. We strongly believe that effective leadership anywhere in the world requires a deep understanding of logistics, operations, and supply chain management.
In Ho Chi Minh City, Southeast Asia’s logistics hub, we aim to advance these fields through both research and teaching. We intend to offer dedicated programs in logistics and supply chain management at both the bachelor's and master’s levels, as well as provide executive education and lifelong learning opportunities.
