Kühne Logistics University Again Among the Top Three – Global Student Satisfaction Awards 2025
Kühne Logistics University (KLU) has been ranked among the top three universities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA region) in the category Online Classroom Experience at the prestigious Global Student Satisfaction Awards 2025. The award, which recognizes excellence and interactivity in online teaching, is presented every two years by the global study choice platform Studyportals. On the platform, KLU students consistently rate their university 4.8 out of 5 stars.

KLU is regularly recognized at the Global Student Satisfaction Awards: winner in Overall Satisfaction in the category Best University for English-Taught Programs (2021), finalist in Online Classroom Experience (2023), and now once again among the top three in this category for the EMEA region in 2025.
Students at the center
“The nomination as one of the three best universities is based entirely on student feedback, which makes it an important signal to future students. We stand for digital excellence, outstanding learning conditions, and strong career prospects,” says KLU President Prof. Dr. Andreas Kaplan.
This latest success builds on further achievements: with AACSB accreditation, KLU ranks among the top five percent of business schools worldwide, known for its focus on modern learning pathways and methods. Faculty members collaborate closely with internationally experienced learning and instructional designers to deliver engaging, cutting-edge teaching.
Hamburg and Saigon – connected through digital learning
KLU Dean of Programs Prof. Dr. Alexander Himme recalls the moment online teaching became essential:
“With the pandemic lockdown in 2020, we were one of the first universities worldwide to shift from face-to-face instruction to a digital classroom, fully in line with our guiding principle: Leading with an Operations Mindset – think strategically, lead responsibly, act effectively. We use online teaching wherever it creates genuine added value: innovative and interactive.”
On campus, this means integrating digital technologies such as AI, virtual and augmented reality into case studies, and bringing international entrepreneurs and researchers live into the classroom. Online formats also serve to connect students across continents. With the opening of KLU’s new campus in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), students in Vietnam will now join their peers in Hamburg for shared courses.
