Driving the Future
An Evening of Insight and Innovation at KLU
On April 24, the KLU campus in Hamburg’s HafenCity transformed into a hub for forward-thinking minds at Driving the Future! – a side event to the ChefTreff Gipfel 2025 that brought together students, professionals, and mobility enthusiasts to explore the exciting developments in autonomous driving.

The evening was expertly moderated by Patricia Bendala (KLU), who guided the audience through the program with energy, clarity, and a strong sense of engagement - setting the stage for a dynamic and insightful experience.
The event began with a compelling keynote by Sascha Meyer, CEO of MOIA, who shared exclusive insights into the company’s ALIKE project. As MOIA moves toward launching an autonomous ridepooling service in Hamburg by 2025, Meyer emphasized the project's goal of integrating autonomous vehicles into public transportation to foster more sustainable urban mobility.
KLU's own Professor Asvin Goel followed with a thought-provoking session on the crucial role of smart algorithms in autonomous ridepooling. His talk highlighted how intelligent planning and data science are key to optimizing future mobility systems.
After the talks, participants enjoyed a vibrant networking session accompanied by music from DJ Easy Mani, great conversations, and the lively atmosphere of the KLU campus.
