Sandra Luttermann is a Senior Scientist at the Center for Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chains of Kühne Logistics University (KLU). Before joining the KLU, Sandra graduated with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Business Administration with a major in Logistics and International Management at the University of Bremen, where she also finished her Ph.D. with “summa cum laude” in October 2021. In her dissertation she investigated the influence of a country’s logistics performance on foreign direct investments.
During her Ph.D., Sandra also worked on a third party funded project looking at how the last mile can be designed according to customer requirements. This research is driven by an increasing sustainability awareness of customers as well as major challenges in the last mile due to growing transport volumes. In general, Sandra prefers working with quantitative methods and statistical analysis such as discrete choice experiments or panel data analysis.
