Brief description
This project aims to develop a rigorous method to measure the impact of a multi-stakeholder coordination entity for humanitarian logistics based on shared and inclusive governance, which will provide a legal entity to host collaborative logistics, enable a better management of joint operational logistics and build confidence and trust among partners. It also aims to establish a digital platform to create a common product and services catalogue, promote shared services and allow faster and more reliable data collection when an emergency occurs. It is funded by the funded by Action Against Hunger. / Action contre la Faim (ACF).
Project purpose
Reseau Logistique humanitaire (RLH Coop, now: hulo) is a humanitarian logistics cooperative. Based on the evaluation work and collaboration of recent years, Solidarités International (SI) and Action Against Hunger / Action contre la Faim (ACF), supported by the seven other RLH members, recently launched their main project to further develop logistics and supply chain resources pooling among humanitarian actors, such as joint procurement and shared IT system. The project relies on joint and innovative efforts from members of the cooperative (firstly RLH members, other organizations will then join in the future). CHORD (Center for Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development) supports the project by bringing its experience in humanitarian logistics and in measuring impact of supply chain initiatives.
