Please be invited to this online workshop about current challenges and developments in fresh food logistics, jointly organized by Kühne Logistics University (KLU), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the University of Bayreuth (UBT), the Hochschule Geisenheim University (HGU), the University of Augsburg (AU), and the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt (KU).
Logistics operations in food supply chains entail many challenges. Products can have short shelf lives or are sensitive to environmental conditions, such as temperature or air humidity. At the same time, logistics costs can be a major issue, particularly for low-cost products, constituting a major share of consumer prices. As such, logistics service providers have to offer efficient, fast and reliable service. The workshop will present the opportunity to gain insights into business dynamics within food logistics operations. After the presentations from industry experts, we provide attendees with the opportunity to seek in-depth answers to questions relating to the logistics management of fresh food products and the companies themselves, followed by virtual Q&A breakout sessions.
