Open Day 2015

What is it like to study at KLU - Getting to know the people behind the university

For the second time, Kühne Logistics University invited prospective students to the “Open Day” on the university’s new campus in Hamburg’s HafenCity. On March 21, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., professors, students and staff assembled and were available to answer questions on the degree programs and KLU itself. High school students who are taking the college entrance exam and other prospective students attended in order to find out information about the bachelor’s or master’s program at our English-language university.

A multi-faceted program greeted the guests. President Thomas Strothotte welcomed them to the event. Other KLU professors explained what makes the degree programs at the university unique. Alumni held a Pecha-Kucha-style presentation about entering their professions and their diverse career opportunities. KLU students reported on their experiences during the semester, their internships at well-known companies and their semesters abroad at one of our more than 50 partner universities worldwide. The French band “La Gâpette” accompanied our Open Day with their jazzy sounds for the second time. One of the band members is even a KLU alumnus!
